A Peaceful Day at Samukawa Shrine!!
Hi! Today, I'm going to talk about my little trip! The other day, I visited Samukawa shrine in Kanagawa prefecture. The spacious grounds and the calm, refreshing atmosphere made it a truly peaceful place. It's one of my favorite shrines! I offered my thanks and prayers, then took a slow walk around the shrine. It was a relaxing and meaningful time that helped me feel centered. Although the cherry blossoms had already started to fall, some trees were still in bloom. The petals fluttering in the breeze were so beautiful and calming. I'd love to visit again soon!! Bye for now!
What does " Ichigo gari " mean?
Hi! Today, I'm going to talk about " Ichigo gari" . "Ichigo gari" means "strawberry picking" . It's a popular activity in Japan where visitors can pick and eat strawberries themselves!! It usually takes place at strawberry farms, and people can enjoy various type of strawberries depending on the season. There is often a time limit, and during that time, you can pick and eat as many as you like. The best season for strawberries is from December to May, with January to March being the sweetest months. Tochigi, Fukuoka, and Shizuoka are famous regions for strawberries in Japan! Bye for now!
What is Japanese " Senpai & Ko-hai " culture
Hi! Today, I'm going to talk about "Senpai & Ko-hai " culture. In Japan, there is a culture of hierarchical relationship. People who are older, have more work experience, or are in a higher grade are called "Senpai", while those who are younger or have less experience are called "Ko-hai". In schools and work places, the "Ko-hai" speaks to the "Senpai" with polite Japanese, showing respect, and the "Senpai" guides the "Ko-hai" like a mentor. Understanding this culture is really important in Japan. How about in your country? Bye for now!
Do you know what " Ohanami " is?
Hi!! Today, I'm going to talk about " Ohanami ". "Ohanami" is like a picnic to enjoy the cherry blossoms. It's an event cherry blossoms season, around March to April when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Many people eat rice balls, Japanese fried chicken, and sweet dumplings. Since cherry blossoms only last for about a week, they remind us of the shortness and beauty of life. I would definitely recommend going to see it! Bye for now!
